STAFFORD, CT : The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Series headed to Stafford Motor Speedway for this weekend’s Stafford 150 on Friday night.
Thursday afternoon the teams took part in the official practice day leading up to the race. John Holleman’s Midway Mobile Storage Ford Fusion clicked off the fifth fastest time on the final leaderboard at 19.751 seconds. Holleman took a moment after practice to discuss his optimism for tomorrow’s Stafford 150.
Holleman on the most important thing he learned in practice today, “[Turns] One and two is the biggest place you can gain speed and we got that down pretty quickly.”
“We had a great car. We unloaded with a great setup underneath us and Corey LaJoie, our crew chief, he gave us a great car today and we showed it off. I think the car has a little more speed left in it.”
On the challenges for tomorrow’s race, “We are just going to see how it goes and adapt to it however it happens. We will keep our eyes and ears open and see what the other guys are feeling on the track. That [SK Mod] rubber is definitely going to through a wrench in our plans, but I think we will be alright. We will be on top of our game like today”
