John Holleman – 2016 NKNPSE New Hampshire Motor Speedway Preview

LOUDON, NH (JuLY 15th, 2016) – The 9th event of the 2016 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East season takes place this Saturday at the 1.058-mile oval New Hampshire Motor Speedway alongside the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Xfinity Series teams.  John Holleman enters this weekend’s event after a career best 6th place finish at Columbus Motor Speedway just two weeks ago.  Holleman is currently in 11th place in the overall championship and just four markers behind Rueben Garcia who sits in the tenth position.

The Midway Mobile Storage Ford Fusion had another outstanding performance in qualifying earlier on Friday.  With a stout field of 29 teams trying to compete for one of the biggest wins of the season on hand, Holleman clocked in with a 30.484 second lap and will line up 9th in tomorrow afternoon’s United Site Services 70 starting field.

What does Holleman expect this weekend as he competes on his first big track?

“Just looking forward to having some fun.  New Hampshire is a track that I always played as a kid on a video game.  It is a fun track to race and watch races.  It is a dream come true to be able to race there much like Bristol Motor Speedway was.  It is going to fun.  I have gotten a lot of pointers from Austin Hill and the car is strong.  We are rolling again with Charles Denike as our crew chief. I always enjoy working with Charles.”

What are you looking to get out of this weekend?

“Just keep rolling with the momentum.  We have gotten better each week.  We got the pole at Stafford, and we didn’t race as good as we wanted to with the 11th place finish.  From there we knew there were improvements to be made at Columbus.  We qualified fourth and we raced a lot better with the sixth place finish and still had steam at the end. We started doing better by qualifying better.

What is like to perform in front of the top NASCAR Series?

“Anytime you get to do a joint weekend with the Cup and Xfinity Series it is always a thrill.  Not only is it a Sprint Cup venue, but you get to perform in front of those owners like Kyle Busch, Rick Hendrick, Jeff Gordon, Joe Gibbs and all these guys who you have grown up seeing their names on television.  It is just a really cool experience that K&N allows us to do”
